Two suspects held up the truck at the Autozone near 9th Street and Avenue of the State around 12:15 p.m., the Delaware County District Attorney's Office said. The assaulted the driver and stole his weapon before making off with an unknown sum of cash, investigators believe.

Pictures show one suspect wore a blue jacket that said "public safety" across the upper back and the other wore a dark jacket with safety reflectors.

They fled in a dark Nissan Pathfinder with a printed paper Pennsylvania tag numbered LLN-2328. The suspect vehicle had black trim around the license plate, black rims, and a roof rack.

A nearly identical vehicle that is not being sought by police has a real license plate with the same number, the DA's Office said. The Nissan that is not wanted has silver trim around the license plate, no roof rack, and a white CarMax sticker above the left rear taillight.

The Nissan is thought to frequent Darby Township and Chester, and the suspects are believed to still be armed, authorities said.

Anyone with information should call Delaware County CID Detective Vincent Port at 610-891-5337 or Chester Police Detective Ryan Stewart at 610-447-8429.
